Tasty Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large potatoes
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/3 c. chopped green onion
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. sour cream (at room temperature)
    3 Tbsp. butter (for top)
Preparation
    Boil, cook and coarsely grate potatoes.
    Add remaining ingredients, except 3 tablespoons butter.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Top with 3 tablespoons of butter.
    Bake until bubbly and heated through, approximately 45 minutes at 350\u00b0. May be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen until cooking time.
    If frozen, defrost before baking.
    Serves 8.
