Ingredients

1 c. soft butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together butter and
sugar;
add
egg
yolk, beat well. Sift together flour
and
cinnamon.
Gradually
add
to cream mixture, stirring well.
Spread
dough evenly in a jelly roll pan (15 x 10-inch).
Beat egg white slightly.
Brush over top surface with finger tips.
Sprinkle
nuts
over
dough and press in.
Bake in very slow
oven
(275\u00b0)
for 1 hour.
While cookies are warm, cut into 4
lengthwise and then cut 6 crosswise.
Cut each piece in half diagonally, makes 48 triangles.
