Hamburger Corn-Pone Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. drained canned kidney beans
1 c. corn bread batter (1/2 pkg. corn muffin mix)
Preparation

Brown meat and onion in melted shortening.
Add seasonings and tomatoes.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
Add kidney beans.
Pour into a greased casserole;
Top with corn bread batter and bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Serves 4.
