Flat Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg yolk, slightly beaten with milk to make 2/3 c.
    4 handfuls corn flakes
    4 c. thinly sliced apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    cinnamon (to sprinkle)
    beaten egg white
Preparation
    Make dough with first 5 ingredients.
    Divide in half and roll out the first one to fit a 12 x 18-inch cookie sheet.
    Cover with corn flakes, then with apples, then with sugar.
    Dot with butter; sprinkle with cinnamon and then top with rolled out second ball of dough.
    Brush with egg white.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
