Ingredients

2 qt. apple cider
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 inches of stick cinnamon
1 tsp. whole allspice
6 to 10 whole cloves
Preparation

Heat apple cider.
Add brown sugar, stirring until dissolved. Make a bag for spices using any porous material such as cheesecloth.
Put bag of spices in cider and simmer 15 to 30 minutes.
Remove spice bag and serve.
Makes 8 cups.
