Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pumpkin (weighing about 2 1/2 lb.)
    9 oz. ready-made pie pastry
    1 1/4 c. heavy cream
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Set oven to 400\u00b0.
    For the pastry, roll into a circle and line a 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Scoop the flesh out of the pumpkin and throw away the skin and seeds.
    Put in a pan and cover with water; simmer for 25 minutes.
    Drain away the water and leave the pumpkin to cool down. Mash with a fork or in a blender until it's perfectly smooth and free of lumps.
    Beat pumpkin, eggs, cream, salt, sugar and spices.
