English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. granulated sugar
    1 c. walnuts
    1 lb. butter
    about 24 (1 oz.) Hershey bars
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter in a heavy pan.
    Allow to remain over fire until sugar is dissolved and is a golden brown in color.
    Chop nuts up fine.
    Put a layer of nuts, then Hershey bars.
    Pour hot mixture over this and repeat the Hershey bars and nuts.
    Allow to cool overnight and break up in small pieces.
