Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. apples, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Wesson oil
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped fine (optional)
Preparation
    Mix Wesson oil, sugar and eggs; beat until smooth.
    Slowly sift in flour, soda, salt and baking powder, mixing thoroughly, at moderate speed.
    Add vanilla, 1 cup pecans (optional) and coarsely chopped apples.
    Bake in greased and floured pan, at 350\u00b0, for about 1 hour or until done.
