Strawberry-Nut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1 c. hot water
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    3 medium bananas, mashed
    1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine Jell-O and hot water.
    Fold in strawberries with juice from pineapple.
    Add drained pineapple, bananas and nuts all at once.
    Pour 1/2 of mixture (3 cups) into a 12 x 8-inch dish. Refrigerate until firm.
    Spread top with sour cream and gently spoon on rest of strawberry mixture; chill until firm.
    Serves 12.
