Supper Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Scald
    milk;
    cool to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast on warm water. Add to milk.
    Cream butter and sugar;
    add eggs one at a time, beating
    after each.
    Combine flour and salt.
    Alternately add yeast, milk and flour to creamed butter and sugar. Beat until smooth.
    Cover
    and
    let
    rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
    Beat 25 vigorous strokes.
    Spread into a well-greased tube pan.
    Cover and let rise until doubled, 35 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
