Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Add, alternating with milk, to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla.
Pour into 4 greased and floured pans, 8 or 9-inch round or square.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until cake tests done, about 30 minutes.
Add few drops of red food coloring to one layer and cocoa to another layer to make different colored layers.
Ice cake.
