German Coffee Cake (1) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. scalded regular milk
1 yeast
1/4 c. warm water with 1 tsp. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins
pound cake, cut or torn into cubes
vanilla pudding, mixed with whipped topping
whipped topping, mixed with vanilla pudding
slivered almonds, toasted
frozen strawberries or raspberries with syrup
whipped topping (for garnish)
Preparation

Layer cake, then fruit with syrup, a few almonds and pudding mixture.
Repeat layers, ending with pudding mixture.
Garnish with whipped topping and pieces of fruit and almonds.
Chill several hours.
Use a large bowl or punch bowl.
