Boiled Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    4 c. pecan halves
    1/2 c. sugar
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan.
    Add pecans; return to boil for 1 minute.
    Drain in a colander; rinse under very hot tap water.
    Shake to remove excess water.
    Place pecans in a large bowl.
    Add sugar; stir well until sugar is dissolved.
    Fry pecans in deep fat at 425\u00b0 for 5 minutes; remove.
    Drain.
    Place pecans on brown paper; sprinkle with salt while hot.
    Store in an airtight container.
