Apple-Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded green cabbage
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    4 1/2 tsp. sugar
    4 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 apples, cored and chopped (sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent darkening)
Preparation
    Discard tough outer leaves of cabbage.
    Cut into quarters and core.
    Cut into thin shreds with a knife or shred on a coarse grater.
    In large bowl, blend mayonnaise with sugar, lemon juice, milk, celery seed, salt and pepper.
    Add cabbage and mix well. Chill several hours.
    Add apples just before serving.
