Potato-Buttermilk Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. peeled potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    5 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. thyme
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cover potato cubes with broth; cook until tender.
    Remove from heat; don't drain.
    Saute onions until tender.
    Melt butter in saucepan on medium-high.
    Add flour; stir 2 minutes.
    Slowly stir in buttermilk and cook until it thickens.
    Add onions, potatoes, broth and thyme; heat to boil.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Serves 6.
