Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
1 1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat egg yolks, milk and shortening. Combine flour, baking powder and sugar. Add to egg yolk mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold egg yolk mixture into egg whites.
Bake in preheated iron.
Makes 8 waffles.
