Sweet Gherkins - cooking recipe

2 qts. small green cucumbers cut to 1 to 2-inches long
2 qts. boiling vinegar
1 Tbsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. whole cloves
4 cups sugar
2 Tbsp. stick cinnamon
1/2 cup white mustard seed
2 Tbsp. allspice
Preparation

Cover fresh cucumbers with hot brine made by dissolving 2 cups salt in 2 1/2 qts. boiling water.
Soak cucumbers in brime for 24 hours.
Drain.
