Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. hot water
1 c. oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix hot water and oats and allow to stand.
Sift flour, cinnamon and salt.
Cream together shortening and sugars; beat in eggs.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Add oats mix and vanilla.
Pour into 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish and bake 30 to 40 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
