Taco Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head lettuce
3 green onions, sliced
1/2 c. coarsely chopped green pepper
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2/3 c. sliced ripe olives
1 lb. ground lean beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 (8 oz.) cream-style corn
1 avocado
lemon juice
1 (6 oz.) pkg. corn chips
1 bottle taco sauce
Preparation

Tear lettuce into bite size pieces, combine with green onions and green pepper, chill.
Prepare and chill tomatoes, cheese and olives.
Brown beef and chopped onion, spoon off fat.
Stir in salt, taco seasoning mix and corn.
Cool to a little warmer than lukewarm.
While meat mixture is cooling, cube avocado and toss with small amount of lemon juice.
When ready to serve, place 1/2 lettuce mixture in large salad bowl; layer with 1/2 the corn chips and remaining meat mixture.
Top with 1/2 each of the tomatoes, cheese, olives and avocado.
Repeat with remaining salad ingredients.
Drizzle taco sauce over salad and serve with additional taco sauce if desired.
