Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Uncle Ben's rice, cooked as directed
    1/2 c. onions, chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. plain flour
    1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. light cream
    3 c. diced chicken
    1/4 c. chopped pimentos
    1/4 c. parsley
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until tender.
    Remove from heat.
    Drain mushrooms and add juice to chicken broth to make 1 1/2 cups.
    Stir into flour mixture.
    Add 1 1/2 cups of cream.
    Cook and stir until bubbly.
    Add rice, mushrooms, chicken and pimentos.
    Put in 2-quart casserole dish.
    Top with almonds.
