Hong Kong Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    8 (1-inch thick) loin pork chops
    1 medium-sized onion, sliced
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. minced ginger or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 garlic clove, minced or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a skillet, brown chops in oil and place in a rectangular casserole. Cover with onion slices, water chestnuts and mushrooms. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chops. Cover and bake 45 to 60 minutes or until chops are tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
