Butter Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. self-rising flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    2/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. milk
    poppy seed
Preparation
    Melt margarine in an oblong pan.
    Combine flour, sugar and milk; stir with fork until mixture clings together as for biscuit dough.
    Place on floured board; knead until dough holds together. Roll into oblong shape.
    Cut down center with knife; cut into 1 1/2-inch strips.
    Place in pan of melted margarine.
    Sprinkle with poppy seed.
    Bake in preheated 425\u00b0 oven for about 15 minutes, or until brown.
