Pecan Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. popped corn
    5 c. pecan halves (or any nuts)
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix popcorn and nuts in large baking pan.
    In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar and corn syrup.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and baking soda.
    Pour over popcorn and nuts.
    Stir well.
    Bake in preheated 250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Makes 5 quarts.
