Cornbread Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
2 c. water
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. drained whole kernel corn
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 egg
4 Tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Saute beef and onion until lightly browned.
Add soup, 1 teaspoon of salt, water, pepper, corn, chili powder and green pepper.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Place in lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole; set aside.
Combine cornbread, flour, sugar, remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and baking powder.
Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
Spoon cornbread topping over meat mixture.
Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for about 25 minutes.
