Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 lb. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. walnut pieces
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
In large saucepan melt shortening and add brown sugar.
Blend well and remove from heat.
Let cool for 10 minutes.
Add eggs.
Beat well.
Add dry ingredients gradually, mixing well after each addition.
Add vanilla, chocolate chips and walnuts.
Mix well.
Spread in well-greased 15 x 10-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
