Cherry Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. saltines, broken
3/4 c. crushed walnuts
1 pt. heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 jar cherries
Preparation

Bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased dish at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool thoroughly.
Whip 1 pint heavy whipping cream.
Add 2 tablespoons granulated sugar.
Place on top of cake, spreading evenly.
Place cherries on top.
Chill 4 to 5 hours before serving.
