Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Slowly stir in hot milk.
    Pour at once into pie shell.
    Dash with nutmeg.
    Bake in hot oven at 475\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 450\u00b0.
    Bake 10 minutes longer or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
    Cool on rack.
