Halloween Fruit Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. dates
1/4 lb. raisins
1/4 lb. figs
1/4 lb. shredded coconut (fresh or canned)
1/4 lb. nut meats, chopped
2 oz. candied citron, orange peel or grapefruit peel
1 lemon (juice only)
1 orange (juice only)
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Chop all fruit and nuts.
A food chopper is good for this purpose.
Mix thoroughly; add fruit juices and roll into balls. Roll in powdered sugar and store for several days to ripen the flavor before serving.
