Microwave Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
1 c. thinly sliced celery
2 c. hot water
1 1/2 c. instant rice
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 bay leaf
Preparation

Combine beef coarsely into 3 to 5-quart casserole.
Mix in carrots and celery.
Cover and microwave on High for 3 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes or until beef is set, stirring once or twice.
Add remaining ingredients.
Microwave, covered, 12 to 18 minutes, or until vegetables are tender, stirring once or twice.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
Serves 4 to 6.
