Coconut Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. evaporated milk
6 egg yolks (room temperature)
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. coconut
2 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Combine milk, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla.
Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 12 minutes.
Add coconut and pecans.
Spread between top and sides of German chocolate cake mix baked according to directions.
Yield: 4 cups.
