Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. boiling water
3 Tbsp. Crisco
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. molasses
4 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. lukewarm water
12 c. flour
Preparation

Add boiling water to oats and Crisco. Allow to cool to lukewarm. Add molasses, salt and yeast (dissolved in lukewarm water) with 1 teaspoon sugar (to be sure yeast is good). Add flour to make stiff dough. Knead well.
Let rise until double in bulk. Knead very little.
Divide into 4 greased bread pans.
Let rise again.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400\u00b0, then lower oven to 350\u00b0 for another 15 minutes, being sure to turn.
