Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. sugar
10 c. water
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Put all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add yellow food coloring as desired.
Slice apples in jar and pour filling over them.
Process 20 minutes in hot water bath.
Makes about 10 quarts.
