Treasure Chest Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 c. drained maraschino cherries
1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips
powdered sugar frosting

Preparation

Cream together butter and sugars; blend in eggs and teaspoon of vanilla flavoring.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Add alternately with 3/4 cup milk.
Beat 2 minutes with mixer.
Add cherries and chocolate chips.
Spread in greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Ice with powdered sugar frosting.
