Gnocchi Ala Romaine (French-Italian) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 + 1/3 c. butter
    1 c. hominy grits (2 1/2 to 5 minute kind)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. grated Gruyere cheese
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Bring milk to boil. Add the 1/2 cup butter, salt and pepper. Stir in grits and cook until thick. Beat until thick. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 Pyrex. Chill well. Cut into oblong (domino shapes) and drop into a buttered casserole, as dominoes would fall. Put cheeses over; pour the 1/2 cup butter (melted) over. Bake 30 minutes at 400\u00b0.
