Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 potatoes
    1/2 lb. bacon, cut into slivers
    1 large onion
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Boil 8 potatoes in skins until tender.
    Peel and dice. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
    Brown bacon pieces.
    Add onions and saute.
    Mix vinegar, water and sugar together.
    Pour over bacon-onion mixture in frying pan.
    Cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Pour bacon mixture over diced potatoes.
    Serve immediately.
