Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. grated American cheese
    4 Tbsp. cold shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together into bowl.
    Add cheese; mix well. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    Add milk; mix well.
    Turn onto floured board.
    Knead lightly, using as little flour as possible. Roll out 1/2 inch thick; cut with floured biscuit cutter.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for about 12 minutes. Makes 14 biscuits.
