Strawberry Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh strawberries
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 small pkg. strawberry jello
    1 frozen pie shell
    1 pkg. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Cook crust and cool.
    Cap berries and slice them.
    Chill for 1 hour.
    Boil together water, sugar and cornstarch.
    Take from heat and add strawberry jello.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Place saucepan in refrigerator to chill until it begins to thicken.
    Place berries in pie shell and drizzle jello mixture over berries, making sure to completely cover them all.
    Let stand in refrigerator.
    Just before serving, put Cool Whip over top.
    Serves 8.
