Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 gal. apples
4 lb. sugar
3 qt. water
1 c. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. allspice
1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Mix 4 pounds sugar and water.
Bring to a full rolling boil. Drop apples in water while boiling and stir.
Mix cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, 1 cup sugar, allspice and salt.
Mix with apples and boil 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir all together.
