Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. bran flakes
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1 egg
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. liquid concentrate sweetener (equals 2 c. sugar)
Preparation

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add remaining ingredients; beat until well blended.
Form into 2 rolls (1 1/2-inches in diameter); wrap in aluminum foil.
Chill several hours or overnight.
Slice thin.
Place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
