Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. powdered ginger
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Beat well. Add syrup and mix.
    Sift flour, salt and ginger and fold in cream mixture.
    Dissolve soda in boiling water.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    When partly cool, cut in squares.
