Oatmeal-Spice Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. each: baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
2 sticks (1 c.) butter or margarine (not spread) at room temperature
1 c. each: granulated sugar and packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. uncooked old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
1 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves on a sheet of waxed paper.
Shape dough in two 8-inch long rolls.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill until firm, about 4 hours in refrigerator, 3 hours in freezer.
(If freezing longer than 3 hours, let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before slicing.)
