Hard Tack - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup (white)
    2/3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. flavoring
    food coloring (of your choice)
Preparation
    Mix first three ingredients.
    Cook until hard crack (300\u00b0). Add flavoring and coloring.
    Put on greased cookie sheet and cool until lukewarm. Cut into pieces with scissors.
