Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 20 minutes.
    Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to oatmeal mixture.
    Beat well.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
