Creamy Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. shredded cabbage
1/8 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
2 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tsp. plus 2 Tbsp. butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream, at room temperature
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (Monterey Jack or Mozzarella)
Preparation

Spread cabbage evenly in a 9 x 12-inch glass baking dish. Season with pepper.
Top with tomatoes.
Sprinkle bacon over tomatoes.
Saute onion in the 1 teaspoon of butter or bacon drippings until transparent; arrange over top of casserole.
