Irish Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

8-10 medium potatoes, peeled
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. chopped chives or oregano (optional)
1 clove garlic minced
2 tsp. salt
paprika
Preparation

Cook, drain and mash potatoes. Beat cream cheese with mixer until smooth. Add potatoes and remaining ingredients except paprika. Beat just until all combined. Spoon mixture into a lightly buttered 2 qt. casserole; sprinkle with paprika. Cover and store in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Uncover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until thorough heated.
