"Aeblekage"(Danish Apple Cake) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. crumbs (dried bread, Zwieback, French bread, sugar cookies or combination of each)
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 pt. whipping cream
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Brown crumbs well in a skillet with butter and sugar.
Place prepared crumbs in a serving dish in layers, alternately with cooled tart applesauce.
Allow to harden in refrigerator.
Serve cold with generous whipped cream topping, sweetened.
Decorate with dabs of jelly.
