Mrs. E. Buchholz Perfect Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13 to 13 1/2 c. water
    6 to 6 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. salt
    cucumbers as desired
    sugar
Preparation
    Boil the first 3 ingredients 15 minutes.
    Pack cukes in jars with lots of dill.
    Add 1 tablespoon sugar to each quart (do not boil the sugar).
    Pour the boiling vinegar brine over cukes.
    Fill jars and seal tight.
    Set jars in boiling water to come over tops of the jars.
    Let stand until cold.
