Ingredients
-
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1/3 c. olive oil
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
-
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water.
Add the sugar, salt and olive oil and stir to mix well.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Using a wooden spoon, stir in the flour and mix until it forms a doughy batter that pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Push down into the bowl; cover and let rise in a warm place until it doubles in bulk, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Push down with a spoon and chill for 30 to 60 minutes.
