Applesauce Cake(Grandma Bissonnette) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 to 1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 to 2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. and 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 to 1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 to 1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. mixed nuts
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Dissolve soda in hot water and add to applesauce.
Add flour and spices.
Add 1 cup raisins. Bake at 325\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean.
