Southwestern Spice Rub - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cumin seed
    1 tsp. coriander seed
    8 dried chiles, steamed and seeded
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
Preparation
    Cook cumin and coriander seed in a small skillet over low heat, stirring constantly, 3 minutes.
    Combine seeds, chiles and remaining ingredients in an electric blender; process until mixture resembles coarse powder.
    Store in airtight container.
